Josephine L. Kreske

November 26, 2017 — November 18, 2017

Josephine L. Kreske (nee Radowski) 83, of Algonquin, at rest November 19, 2017.

She was born July 18, 1934 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee Regula) Radowski.

After starting her own family with her loving husband, Stanley, she lived in Carpentersville, Illinois and then resided in Algonquin, Illinois into her final days. Josephine and Stanley enjoyed traveling together and were virtually inseparable from the time they were married over 60 years ago.
Every now and again, she enjoyed weekly breakfasts with her loving son Craig, long conversations with her adoring daughter Desiree, and visits and time spent with her grandchildren.
Josephine was most happy spending time with family. Especially around the holidays and family celebrations – best spent reminiscing of the ‘old days’ growing up back in her original home of Chicago.
She was an avid lover of all things purple and enjoyed having a good vodka gimlet. She could never pass up a pretty bouquet of flowers and always came to gatherings with the best treats.
Josephine was a wonderfully unique and special woman who will be missed by all whose lives she touched throughout her life.

Josephine was the beloved wife of Stanley T. Kreske for 65 years; devoted mother of Desiree (Christopher) Lilly and Craig Kreske; cherished grandmother of Josh and Erica Kreske, Rayna and Robert York, Malissa Bader, Vanessa and Ryan Carter, Zach Lilly, and Cassie Kreske; great-grandmother of Jaycee Kreske, Jace, Johnny Grode and Wendy Carter.

The memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
