Josephine "Jo" Anne (Burke) Keegan

Josephine “Jo” Anne Keegan, 79, of Crystal Lake passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.   She was born in Chicago on February 15, 1938 to Dr. Thomas and Bernice (nee Wheeler) Burke.

She married her husband, John Keegan, at Holy Name Cathedral in 1965.  They were blessed to share 52 years together.   Jo lived her life passionately through her art as a painter, sculptor, and poet.  She leaves behind many creations her family and friends will cherish for years to come.

Jo was a loving mother to two sons, Emmett (Kari) and Patrick (Alina), loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Erin, Connor, Thomas, Michael, Daniel, and Katherine; and a beloved sister to Kathleen (James) Clausen.

She was preceded by her grandson, Andrew and siblings, Thomas, John, Rosemary, Gloria and William.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25th, from 9 am until the time of mass at 11 am at The Church of the Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd., McHenry.  Burial will follow at The Holy Apostle Cemetery.
