Joyce A. (Lyerly) Shannon

Joyce A. Shannon, 74, of Lake Zurich and longtime resident of Buffalo Grove, was born on October 5, 1943 to the late Harry and Ann Lyerly in Chicago, and passed away on August 31, 2018. Joyce was the loving mother of Robert (Jenny) Shannon and Stephen (Darcy) Shannon; grandmother of Tyler, Elizabeth “Libby”, Lucille “Lucy”, Jake and Eleanor “Nelly”; sister of James (Darlene) Lyerly; dear friend of her college classmates from the Clarke College Class of ’64.

Services will be held privately for family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate or to a charity of your choice.
