J. Patricia Rockett (nee Pearson), 89, of Mundelein, IL passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Berwyn, IL on February 8, 1932 to the late Rudolph and Lillian (nee Poss) Pearson.

Pat’s dream of adventure was fulfilled by a lifetime of travel having lived in Canada, Italy, Germany, Israel, and England. She also visited Mexico, Russia, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Austria, Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Grece, Morocco, Iran , Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, India, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Bali and Fiji.

The challenges of finding places to live and appropriate schools for her daughters in a myriad of foreign countries was offset by the joy of learning about new cultures, sightseeing, shopping, skiing, and homemaking. Pat enjoyed hosting visitors during her 14-year residency in England and sharing her knowledge of freight places.

She was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother and had a close relationship with her “Grands.” She loved animals and lovingly raised 6 Great Danes and a host of other rescued dogs and cats. Her flair for decorating and landscaping homes was a passion and delight for all who visited the Rockett home.

Pat is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth W. Rockett; devoted children, Deborah (Thomas Clifford) Walter and Kathyrn J. Rockett; cherished grandmother of Drew Thomas (Ashley Smith) Walter, Ryan Clifford (fiancé, Julia Debra Johnson) Walter and Brett William (Anel Romo) Walter; and her dear great-grandchildren, Avyn Ray Walter, Rhianon Kimberly Walter, Paul Gregory Walter and Eric Thomas Walter.

Along with her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her sister, Giaette Pearson Wallin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to The Buddy Foundation, 65 West  Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
