Julia Marie Jasper, 64, of Cary, IL passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022. She was born July 31, 1958, in Estherville, Iowa to the late Leonard and Neomi Linn. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. On October 24, 1981, Julia married Patrick Jasper. They celebrated over forty beautiful years learning to love one another in marriage. They were blessed with two children: Jessica and Anthony. They were blessed again with two grandchildren: Madeleine and Theodore.
Julia loved influencing and guiding children of all ages. Beginning in her early teens with her nieces and nephews and continuing through to her grandchildren. Her greatest regret is not finishing what she started with Maddie and Teddy. She had a love and a knack for interior design and landscaping, which was reflected in every home she touched, turning it from a house into a home. Julia also became a mentor to many friends and family throughout the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Julia will be missed by her devoted husband Patrick; daughter Jessica Linn Braley (Daniel) their children Madeleine Jasper and Theodore Patrick; son Anthony Patrick Jasper and his husband Tommy Robert Moyer Jr; her sisters Deanna (Gene) Sorbo, Wanda (Dale) Knudson, Sonia (Marc) Moore; and her nieces and nephews Lynette Sorbo, Curtis Knudson (daughter Quinn), Debra (Robert II) Chavez (sons: Robert III, Ruben, Jonathan), Alan (Angela) Moore (son Devon Adams and daughter Lily). All of whom she, in one way or another, considered her own.
A memorial visitation for Julia will be held from 1:00pm until the time of services at 3:30pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Street, Crystal Lake, IL. A second memorial visitation will take place on Thursday September 22, 2022, from 9:30am until 10:30am followed by a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30am and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all occurring at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, IA. Internment at East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA will occur Immediately following Mass.
