June 9, 1926 — July 10, 2015
Born June 9, 1926 in Chicago to Karl and Ida Johnson, June passed away with her loving family at her side on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the age of 89.
June was a dedicated Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan. In her younger years she was an avid swimmer and diver and loved traveling to Florida to enjoy the sun.
June is survived by her children, Steven Marquette, Kim (Tom) Nestelberger, Mary (Dan) Rorer; her grandchildren, Chad (Dana), Brandon, Brett (Becki) Marquette, Cassie Nestelberger, Chrissy (Scott) Dehn, Carlee Nestelberger, Morgan, Miranda, and Madison Rorer; great-grandchildren, Brad, Matt, and Alexa Marquette, Olivia and Lucas Marquette and Brianna Marquette.
She is also survived by her beloved caregiver and friend, Astrid Salazar and her son, Jason.
In addition to her husband, William D. Marquette, she was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Marquette; brothers, Al and Gus Johnson.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
