Justin Donald Wudtke was born on September 28, 1990 and passed away on December 26, 2017 in his home surrounded by the love of his mother and father, following a peaceful Christmas day. He was the blessed son of Donald and Sandy Wudtke. Justin was a faithful and loving follower of Jesus Christ and did service projects for the needy, locally and around the world. His courage in living with cancer inspired many. An avid Cubs fan, he was thrilled to meet many players. He delighted in fishing, competed with his dad for the biggest catch, and was known as the “fish whisperer.” Music and singing made him happy. Despite a debilitating cancer, he earned a high school certification, then continued learning through Donka and home tutoring. Justin is survived by his parents, Donald and Sandy; grandmother, Janet Mae Wudtke; uncles and aunts, David and Maya, Dan and Diane, Dale and Nancy, Scott and Jan, Barbara and Bruce, Keith and Alma, and Robin and Danne; and many cousins. He will also be remembered by many caregivers, therapists and friends, and will be especially missed by his four-legged companion, Chester. He will be remembered always for his kind words, laughter and “thumbs up” smile. Justin, you will be forever in our hearts, and we release you now into the company of Angels. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. On Wednesday, January 3, visitation will continue at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 932 McHenry Ave., from 10:00am until the time service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
