Karyn Wright, 62, of Crystal Lake, passed away after a bravely fought battle with cancer on Monday, September 13, 2021.
She was born October 10, 1958 in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Myrna Murphy.
Karyn was extremely proud of working over 20 years spent as a Special Education school bus driver. She loved spending time with her family and friends camping at Jellystone Park. Above all in her life, she was an awesome mother to her children and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Karyn is survived by her loving children, Kari (Jacob) Kluge, Bobby (Holly) Bates, Jr., Timothy (Nicole) Bates, Sr., Jeffrey (Natalie) Bates, Christopher (Cheyenne) Wright, and Kasey (Joshua) Wright; her beloved grandchildren, Keura Palmisano, Steven Palmisano, Jr., Gavin Bogart, Ashton Reed, Emma Kuhn, Skylar Kuhn, Callie Kuhn, Emily Bates, Alexus Bates, Allen Bates, Jr., Lilly Bates, Katlyn Bates, Timothy Bates, Jr., Kaitlynn Hare, Jeffrey Bates, Jr., Jacob Bates, Johnny Bates, Jacqueline Bates, and Mylah Higgs; her cherished great-grandchildren, Sky Bates and Gemma Turner; siblings, Nikki (the late Rich) Travis, Maureen (John) Stork, Mark Murphy, Tim Kubiak and Nick (Stephanie) Kubiak; her mother, Myrna; and aunt Linda Leahy.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Bates; second husband, George Wright; son, Allen Bates; siblings, Thomas Murphy and Laura Kolasa; and grandmother, Valerie Babich.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 3-8 p.m. with a memorial service held at 7:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.
