Kasey Singer

Kasey Singer, of Hoffman Estates, passed away surrounded by family at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 54 after a brief illness with cancer.

He was born January 20, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Karl and Sally (nee Woodruff) Singer.

A gifted handyman, there was no job Kasey couldn’t take on. He was the maintenance manager for his family’s manufacturing company, D & K Group, managing the maintenance and equipment for six buildings. His many hobbies included fishing, race car driving, golfing, flying, watching movies and riding his motorcycle. Those who knew Kasey saw him as the ‘go-to’ guy, knowing a little something about everything. With a heart of gold, there wasn’t anyone Kasey wouldn’t help.

In addition to his loving wife, Kim, he is survived by his daughters, Katie Singer and Sarah Singer; his step-daughters, Sherri and Kimberly Kosloff, and Tiffani Planes; his grandson, Austin Runge; brother, Tony Singer; his parents, Karl and Sally Singer; and his many cousins.

A celebration of Kasey’s life will be held at a later date.
