Katherine Marie Parchem

Katherine Marie Parchem, 70, of Crossville, TN passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2022, in Illinois. She was born in Kankakee, IL on December 4, 1951, to the late Alvin and Myrtle Thayer.

Kathy was outgoing and sociable. Everyone that met her loved her. Kathy loved to have fun, celebrate with her family and friends. Kathy was a hard working single mom. She loved to pull pranks on you just, to make herself laugh. Kathy was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan, “Go Bears”. When she wasn’t watching the Chicago Bears, you could find her hanging out with her daughter, grandchildren, watching her grandchildren play sports, and working in her garden. She loved her dog Rosie and she was a Disney fanatic (Mickey and Grumpy were her favorites).

Katherine is survived by her children she raised with Dennis Howard; Frank (Michelle) Homer, and Jodie (Kevin Soderholm) Ruden; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Zielinski, Jesse Holck, and Kurtis Homer, Alexis Ruden, Shawn Ruden, Hailey Ruden, and AJ Soderholm; great grandchild, Kaden; siblings, Alvin (Christine) Thayer, Barbara Daum, Joanna (Ronald) Garand, Sandy Thayer, Bernard Thayer; and many nieces and nephews.

Katherine is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 5 years, Richard Lindquist; siblings, Alden Thayer, and Dale Thayer; brother-in-law, Peter Daum; and nephew, Neal Thayer.

Visitation will be held August 28, 2022, from 11-2pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake IL 60014.
