Kathleen “Kathie” Ehlenburg, a lifelong resident of Woodstock, passed away at her home Monday, February 6, 2017 surrounded by her beloved family. Born on May 19, 1938 she was the daughter of Robert and Lorraine Lowe.
On May 15, 1970 she and Ron “Ronnie” Ehlenburg united in marriage. They celebrated 40 years of marriage until his death in 2010. Kathie is survived by her beloved children, Lisa (Dan) Hackler, Christine (Jim) Robbins, Stephen (Debbie) Ehlenburg, Suzanne (Tyler) Dominick, Jennifer (Ron) Navlyt, and Kim Ronae (Scott) Warunek; her grandchildren, Nate, Tanya, Liz, Ron, Mary, Mike, Rob, Katie, Danielle, Stephanie, Jennifer, Adam, Ron III, Allison, Daniel, Justine and Amanda; and her great grandchildren, Kayla, Chayce, Konnyr, Cayden, Natasha "Tasha", Keyser, Annaliese, Payton, Trinity, Alex, Tessa, Mason, Khristine, Christopher, Emily, Alex, Ashlyn, Decker, Phil Jr., Shannon, Tyler, Julianna and Ethan; her siblings, Mimi (Jim) Runchey, Jeanine (Ken) Thelander and Robert (Linda) Lowe. Many loving lifelong friends also survive.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two infant daughters.
The visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176), Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be Friday, February 10, beginning at 11am at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Historic Campus), 178 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake. Rev. Larry Tieman will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood.
