Kathleen Elizabeth (Kelsey) Grindstaff

Kathleen Elizabeth Grindstaff, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Kathleen was born in St. Paul, MN on January 21, 1944. She was a dedicated mental health nurse practitioner. She loved SCUBA diving and traveled to Florida, the Bahamas and Cayman Islands with family for many years. Kathleen loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Paul (Cathy) and Dan (Christina) Grindstaff; and cherished grandchildren, Isabell, Emma, Andrew, Matthew, and Sophia; and brother Robert Kelsey.

Preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey and Marion Kelsey; and siblings, Carmen Hembel and Alan Kelsey.

A visitation for Kathleen will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. A second visitation will be held the following morning from 10am until the time of service at 11:30am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 300 Pathway Ct, Crystal Lake, IL. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery in Crystal Lake, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, IL.
