Kathleen T. (George) Mitmoen

Kathleen Therese Mitmoen (nee George), age 92, of Barrington, IL was called home on Monday October 18, 2021.

Katie was born in Chicago, IL on January 25, 1929.  She loved God and her family.  She was gifted in the arts and enjoyed painting.  Katie often was inventing some new gadget or watching a movie while having a good caramel. She was cherished by many and her presence will be missed by anyone fortunate enough to have met her.

Katie is survived by her treasured sons, Carl (Patty) Mitmoen III and John (Karen) Mitmoen; devoted grandchildren, Erin (David Stude) Mitmoen, Kathleen (Michael) Gunn, Jeanette (DJ) Miller, Mary Brown, John (Katie) Mitmoen, Jacob Mitmoen; loving great-grandchildren, Charles, Oliver, Kendall, Kathryn, Sullivan, Maisy, Henry, Rosemary, Dallas, Hunter, and Julian.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl M. Mitmoen, Jr.; parents John and Della George; sister, Alice Rodgers; and brother, John George.

Visitation for Katie will be held Friday October 22, 2021 from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 West Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010

Funeral mass will be Saturday October 23, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010.
