A memorial service for Katie Elizabeth Thomas, 31, of Beloit, WI, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Born July 19, 1979 in Park Ridge, IL, she passed away April 21, 2011 in Beloit, Wisconsin. Katie liked camping and the outdoors, as well as reading and art. She also had a great love of animals. Survivors include her son, Parker Thomas Lenz and his father, David Lenz; parents, Robert Scot (Tiffany) Thomas of Barrington Hills, IL and Jo Lynn (John) Stalowy (nee Scheuneman)of Bigfork, MT; sister Amy Lynn Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; grandparents Robert and Gloria Thomas of Des Plaines, IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
