Kenneth “Kenny” L. Felten, 63, of Island Lake, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2017. He was born on April 7, 1954 in Chicago to Kenneth and Emiko (nee Kubokawa) Felten.
Kenny graduated Wheeling High School in 1972. In his early adult years, Kenny participated in rodeos as a professional bull rider. He managed 3-D Bowl in Island Lake for almost 20 years. He was a Remax realtor for 6 years. Until very recently, Kenny was employed as a campus attendant at Station Middle School in Barrington, where he worked for 10 years. While there, he started and coached the bowling team.
Kenny was an avid golfer and bowler and even bowled back-to-back 300 games. His other hobbies included spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Max.
Survivors include his sons Brad (Deliah) Glasby, Kenny and Ryan (Holly) Felten; his soul mate Carol Gauger and her son Evan; grandchildren Jazmine Orestano, Alyssa and Clayton Glasby; siblings Linda Beckman, Darlene (Michael) Maroney and Ronald (Julie) Felten; nieces, Katie and Jessica; nephews Steve, Tim, Ronnie and Kevin; and his beloved dog Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, from 3 until 9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
