Kenneth Marks

Kenneth B. Marks,83, of Cary, died Sunday, March 4,2012, at the Pepper Family Hospice Home, Barrington.

He was born December 17,1928, in Chicago, to the late Vital and Irene (nee Sammons) Marks.  He married the late Elaine Lenzini on April 25,1953, in Chicago.

Ken was a devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he had many treasured friends.

Survivors include his children, Larry (Pat) Marks of Cary, Nanette (Brian) Heaphy of Prospect Heights, Greg (Cathy) Marks of Columbus, OH; Mary Beth (Mike) Larsen of Norway, MI; grandchildren, Steve and Dave Marks, Karen, Courtney, Kristen, and Meghan Heaphy, Matt and Ryan Marks, and Jake (Sarah) and Jennifer Larsen; great-granddaughter, Brynn Rose Larsen; siblings, Jan Rousseau of Mount Prospect, Nancy (John) Lund of Davis, and Jim (Micki) Marks of Alden; sister-in-law, Marilyn Marks of Barrington; and childhood friends, Ray and Cor Pietryga of Lombard and Aud Rhine of Cary.

In addition to his wife, and parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Marks.

The visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 6,2012, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 7,2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 9812 St. Albans St., Hebron, IL 60034.  Burial will be private.
