Kevin Egeland

Kevin L. Egeland, 60, of Crystal Lake passed away Friday, July, 31, 2015 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was born March 27, 1955 to Roy L. and Ardelle L. (nee Johnson) Egeland.

On February 16, 1974 he married Kathie Ann Ziegenfuss in Morris, IL. Together they raised two sons, Joey and Mark.

Kevin retired in 2014 from Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows after 33 years of employment with them. He loved cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife Kathie; sons, Joey of Schaumburg, and Mark of Chicago; brothers, Craig (Stacia) of Delta Junction, AK, and Bruce of Wilmington; sister, Kay (Craig) Matteson of Morris; sister-in-laws, Paula(David) Kunzmann of East Moline and Tina Sistek of Morris; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brent; and sister-in-law, Debbie Egeland.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4, from 4 pm-8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral will be on Wednesday at 10:30 am with a visitation time starting at 9:30 at St. John Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St, Union. Burial will follow at Saratoga Cemetery in Morris.
