Kimberly Ann Holterhaus

Sadly, Kimberly Ann Holterhaus, 57, lost her courageous battle to cancer and died peacefully at home on April 8, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Kimberly  is survived by her children, Shaun Tessmer (Devon), Tiffany Bachmann (Sean), Ashley Domin (Blake); granchildren, Brendan & Keeleigh Bachmann, Cecelia Tessmer, Carson Domin; her love, Patrick Botheroyd. She is preceded in death by Joe Majewski, Gloria Adams, William Holterhaus, baby Gloria Bachmann & Megan Fornelli.

Kimberly was born on July 20, 1960 and was raised in Algonquin IL, daughter of Gloria & Jack Adams, sister to Debbie Majewski, Ted Holterhaus(Theresa), Billy (Debra) Holterhaus, Carrie King (Willy), Greg Holterhaus.

Kimberly worked for the United States Postal Service for 23 years.  Her children remember her as a kind and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

Kimberly was an amazing cook and always showed her love to her family through her delicious food. She was also a trained beautician who would happily give haircuts to anyone who needed them. She was a fun-loving individual who loved to dress up in costumes for holidays and parties. Kimberly loved to host gatherings and bring her family together.  She was a generous woman and would give the coat off of her back to anyone who needed it. She was passionate about helping our nation’s veterans and dedicated her time to the Cary-Grove AmVets.
The family would like to thank JourneyCare Hospice for their care, ensuring she was comfortable & pain free.

Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday, April 13, from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. with visiting beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
