Klaus enjoyed his career as a structural engineer, working on the infrastructure of Chicago roads, bridges,and buildings. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed golf, travel, fine dining, and good conversation. Klaus loved all that life had to offer and will be missed by many.
Born May 9, 1926 in Berlin, Germany, passed away peacefully July 24, 2014 in Barrington.
Klaus is survived by his son Robert of Denver, Co, brother Franz (Marie), and cousins Marie (Erwin) Hammerling, of Orlando, FL, and George Rosten, of Jackson Heights, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene and daughter Janet Beth.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm, Saturday, August 2, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington. Interment will be private.
