Krista Motley

Krista was born January 25, 1962, in Hammond, IN. She passed away peacefully October 13, 2015.

Krista was loved and cherished by her family, friends, coworkers, volunteers and all those whom she touched in this world. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University of Ohio and later earned a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the University of IL, Circle Campus, in Chicago.

She devoted her life to her precious daughter Lily and her entire family. She also loved reading, art, music, and nature, as well as Elvis.

Krista has been a respected and dedicated hospice professional for over ten years, providing bereavement, art therapy, and Reiki for adults and children. She was passionate about the hospice philosophy and its mission of caring for others.

Krista is survived by daughter Lily; mother Adele Nelson (nee Narcisi), and her brothers Brian and Eric Nelson. She was preceded in death by her father Kent Nelson.

Visitation will be held from 11:30am until the time of the memorial service at 1pm Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Inurnment will be private.
