Larry Ellis Carlson

Born in Chicago in 1943, Larry was raised in Rockford, Illinois. Larry was the only son of Margaret and Knute Carlson. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Larry served in the Air Force and was stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. 

Larry lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. He loved a good research project and working on home and business renovations. His true passions in life were watching the Chicago Cubs, gardening, his beloved basset hounds and his John Deere tractor. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and son Richard Ellis Carlson. He is survived by his son, David (Susan) Carlson, daughter-in-law Jennifer Carlson and his four grandchildren, Sam, Henry, Gwyneth and Julia Carlson.
