Laura Nelson-Hackett

Laura D. Nelson-Hackett, age 62 of Winthrop Harbor, IL, born on July 9, 1960 to George R. Nelson and the late Jalna Joan Nelson.

Laura is survived by her husband, Lawrence R. Hackett; cherished daughters, Olivia V. and Sydney G. Wagoner; father and Stepmother, George R. and Bernadette Nelson; adoring sisters, Victoria L. Ceder and Allison D. Nelson; brothers, David R. (Yendini) Nelson and Matthew R. (Stephanie) Nelson; nieces, “The Cousin Club” Emily V. and Christina K. Ceder and Claire D. Nelson; aunt, Janet (Teta) Samaras and uncle John (Tania) Giametti; dearest friend & colleague to many.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jalna Joan Nelson.

Memorial Visitation will begin at 3pm until the time service at 5pm on Saturday, October 1 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laura’s daughters, in care of Victoria Ceder.
