Lawrence John Juliano, age 80, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Lawrence was born on January 14, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He was joyful, generous, hardworking, and witty. He could sit in his comfy chair and ponder life for hours, perfectly content with just the people he loved most and some popsicles (or powdered donut holes). He had a contagious laugh that made all the people around him smile. He was incredibly loyal to those he loved. He was authentic and true to himself.
His work is a testament to the dedication and drive he had to succeed and build an abundant life. Every day of his adult life, he woke up at 5 a.m. and got to work. After he served in the military as a private, he started work as a plumber. He later went on to start Concept Plumbing, where he worked as a plumber and sewer contractor for 38 years. He enjoyed working alongside many contractors on different projects. He was most proud of his work on theWit Hotel in downtown Chicago and the beautiful family home he designed and built from the ground up.
Lawrence was pensive and thoughtful. He enjoyed sitting outside on his beautiful lake-house porch, leg up on the table, observing the boats passing by below and contemplating life. He was fascinated by history. In his free time, he loved to fish and golf. He could be found in his garden whenever the weather permitted and loved all things Chicago Bears.
He found joy in the little things. Above all else, he was kind.
Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sheila Marie Juliano (nee Herron); loving children, Lawrence Gerard (Cari) Juliano of Chicago, IL, Mark John (Jennifer) Juliano of Algonquin, IL, and Catherine Marie Juliano-Eckersall of Barrington, IL; special people in his life, Cynthia and Dane Passo; cherished grandchildren, Elisa, Lawrence R. (Izabil), Theresa, Carianna, Gabrielle, Julia, Alexa, Giavanna, and Luciano; great-granddaughter, Gabriella.
