Lawrence “Larry” O’Donnell, of Barrington
Born January 16, 1929 in Oak Park, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 14 in Barrington.
He was a founding partner of the architectural firm, O.W.P. & P., an Army veteran during the Korean War, and was involved in numerous charities, including Catholic Charities and Glenkirk. Larry was an avid golfer and artist who was beloved by all for his integrity, honesty, compassion, generosity and thoughtfulness. He was a role model to all who met him personally and professionally. He had no enemies; just loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Larry is survived by his children; Michael (Brett), Maureen (John) Malloy, Kerry (Luke) Pluto, and Kevin (Vilija), grandchildren; Conor, Devon (Brad), Daniel, Patrick, Kevin, Meaghan, Caitlin, William, Alina, and Lukas. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice (2011).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday, June 21 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts), Barrington, with visitation from 9am until the time of the mass. Interment will be private.
