Lena J. Duese

Lena Josephine Duese, of Deer Park, passed away December 25, 2024 at the age of 91.

She was born July 20, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Esther (nee Cali) LoSasso. 

Lena is survived by her son, Richard (Susan) Duese; her grandchildren, Brian, Amanda and Joey Duese; and her brother, Joseph LoSasso.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sam LoSasso. 

Lena had a love of baseball, specifically the Chicago Cubs; she loved watching old movies; Cary Grant, Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Doris Day, and her most favorite singer, Frank Sinatra. Lena was also very involved with her faith.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich. The funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 30, at 1 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Interment will be held privately.
