Lenore Mary Bojanowski

Lenore Mary Bojanowski, age 72, of Wauconda, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday April 14, 2022.

Lenore was a caring, loving person that always put her children first and sacrificed at every turn to provide them with the best possible childhood and everything they needed for them to succeed at whatever endeavor was important to them.  She made sure they were on time to every football, baseball, flute, or flags practice and event.  She made sure homework was done every night and that lunches were made, and they had a homecooked, family dinner every night.  She made each holiday special.  A fully decorated home, treats, activities, and special menus created treasured memories for the whole family.  She was a constant support, sounding board, and held back nothing that could help, right up to the very end.  Lenore was an avid knitter, an accomplished painter of glass, and a published journalist with unique gift for the English language. She loved to bake and her homemade croissants, onion braid, and Easter bread were family favorites.  Her multi-day, slow-cooked marinara recipe was some of the best ever made.  Her 25th wedding anniversary trip to Vienna, Austria for New Year's Eve was one of her favorite memories.

Lenore is survived by her loving children, Richard M. Bojanowski and Katie Colaianni; as well as her cat, Miss Kitty, whom she loved and brought her much joy.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Louis Bojanowski who passed on October 10, 2000.

A visitation for Lenore will be held from 9am until the time of mass at 10am on Thursday April 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church,1101 23rd Ave, Melrose Park, IL 60160. Burial to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
