Leona E. Krah

Leona E. Krah, 84, of Elk Grove Village, was born on September 29, 1934 to the late Thomas and the late Viola Fenlon and passed away on January 7, 2019.

Leona was a first grade teacher for 38 years for School District 62. She enjoyed gardening, baking and reading. Leona had a passion for Notre Dame football, Christmas and animals, especially dogs.

She was the devoted wife of Norman Krah for 58 years; loving mother of Mary Miller and Maureen (Doug) Levin; grandmother of Declán Levin; sister of John Fenlon; aunt of Connie (the late Joe) Pavur; fur grandma of Kai, Nani La, Kahana and Duffey; aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and dear relative of the entire Krah family. She will be missed by her dear friends, Barb and Bill Anderson and her supportive neighbors, Brigette and Ralph Sandstrom, and Terry and Janet Wilhelms.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Thomas Fenlon, Rosemary Bosky and David (JoAnn) Fenlon; and nephew, Terry Bosky.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers, especially Amelia at Sunrise Senior Living in Crystal Lake.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. On Monday, January 14, visitation will continue from 9:30am until prayers are said at 10:15am at the funeral home, then proceeding to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 S. McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, for Mass at 11:00am. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL.

Visitors are encouraged to wear Notre Dame or their favorite sports team’s attire.
