Leslie Jean Lirgameris

Leslie Jean Lirgameris (nee Arnold) of Tower Lakes, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 31, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

She was born February 10, 1942 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Dorothy (nee Densmore) and Robert F. Arnold. She resided in Tower Lakes from 1967 until her passing. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1960, then earned her B.S. in Nursing from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1964. She served in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps from 1964 to 1966 at Great Lakes Naval Hospital, as well as staff nurse at McHenry Hospital from 1970 to 1978. She was later employed by Dr. Gary Oberg at Northern Illinois Center for Integrated Healthcare in Crystal Lake from 1979 until her retirement in 2008. 

 Wife of the late Eugene Z Lirgameris, Leslie is survived by her daughter, Larisa (Rimas) Liekys of Wauconda, Illinois; brother Dennis P. Arnold (Dawn) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and two granddaughters, Taylor and Lauren Lirgameris.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Bob; husband, Gene; brother, Robert D. Arnold; and son, David E. Lirgameris.

 A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Community Church of Barrington, 407 S. Grove Ave, Barrington, IL.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Church of Barrington, Save-A-Pet, 31664 N Fairfield Rd, Grayslake, IL; or University of Wisconsin, School of Nursing.
