Leszek Kuligowski
August 9, 1947 — January 15, 2016
On the evening of January 15, 2016, Leszek Kuligowski passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Leszek was 68 years old.
Leszek was born on August 9, 1947, in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland. He was the first of three children born to Jan and Lucja Kuligowski.
Before settling in Crystal Lake, Leszek lived in Łódź, Poland, with his loving wife and son. Leszek was an avid kayaker and enjoyed the outdoors. His greatest joys included reading and spending time with his grandson.
Leszek will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda (Oskierko) Kuligowska; his son, Maciek Kuligowski; his grandson, Nathaniel Kuligowski; his sister, Eva (Kuligowski) Janas; his brother, Andrzej Kuligowski; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jan and Lucja Kuligowski.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016, from 10 AM until prayers at 11 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon at St. Margaret Mary, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin. Interment to follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake.
