Lewis E. Ratcliffe

Lewis “Lewie” Ratcliffe, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He was born September 24, 1933 in Fairview, IL to the late Lewis A. and May Ratcliffe.

Lewie was united in marriage to Marcia Bennett on October 23, 1955 in Canton, IL. He served on two ships with the US Navy during the Korean War.
Lewie enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, was an avid bowler, and was involved in Boy Scouts.

Lewie is survived by his children, Debi (Dean) Case and Jerry Ratcliffe; his grandchildren, Erin (Travis), Kelli (Collin), Nicole, Robert, Jon, Hilary, J’net (Blake), Holly, Adam, and Ian; 9 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; former daughters-in-law, Kim and Tina; sister, Louise Lee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marcia; son, Jeff; and great-grandson, Nicholas Benton.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, March 16, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
