Lillian Mergenthaler

Lillian Johanna Mergenthaler, 89, of Crystal Lake, passed away Friday, May 27, in Woodstock.
She was born August 12, 1926 in Oak Park to Fred and Lillian (nee Gleichner) Bokelmann. On September 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to John Mergenthaler.
Lillian was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ for over 50 years where she was a Mary Circle member. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.
In addition to her loving husband John, she is survived by her children, Mark (Melissa) Mergenthaler of Onalaska, WI, Terry (Larry) Skipper of Polson, MT, and Linda (Dean) Bichler of Crystal Lake; her grandchildren, Megan (Ramsey) Elias, Mathew Mergenthaler, JoAnn Skipper, Cheryl Skipper, Ben Bichler, Alyssa (Jack) Gilleland, Joe Bichler; and her great-grandson, Tamer Elias.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 485 W Woodstock St., Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
