Linda Phillips

Linda R. Phillips of Barrington since 1982 Memorial visitation for Linda R. Phillips, 65, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with a remembrance service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born Aug. 9, 1944, in Red Cloud, Neb., she entered into glory Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, with her family by her side at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Linda was a homemaker. Her devotion to the study of God?s word and her family gave her life purpose. An avid reader, she enjoyed geneaology, cooking, painting, gardening and researching the Bible. Linda was a child of God. Survivors include her husband, Edward M. "Buddy" Phillips, whom she married July 1, 1962, in Mount Prospect; children, R. D. (Cheri) Phillips of Crystal Lake and Georgine Elwell of Cyrstal Lake; two grandchildren, Alicia Elwell and Brooke Phillips; her mother, Mary (nee Wilson) Lanz of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two sisters, Marilyn Hamlet of Morristown, Tenn. and Karon (Les) Puttkammer of Fayetteville; four nieces; two nephews; and numerous other family and friends.
