Lisa Marie (Krueger) Hoeppel, of Cary, Illinois, passed away on April 10th, 2022 after fighting multiple battles with breast cancer. Lisa was born on July 18th, 1981 to Michael and Judith Krueger and older sister, Katie, in Des Plaines, Illinois. After Lisa graduated from Stevenson High School in 1999, she studied Elementary Education at Illinois State University, where she met the love of her life, Kirk Hoeppel. Lisa and Kirk married on July 21st, 2006 and went on to have three beautiful girls, Mackenzie (2009), Kayla (2011) and Ellie (2013).
Early in her career, Lisa taught at Ivy Hall Elementary and Woodland Middle Schools, and had since dedicated her time to raising her girls. Instrumental in the Cary community, Lisa has touched innumerable lives as a director of the Cary Junior Trojans Cheerleading Program. Not only was she her daughters' biggest cheerleader as they themselves cheered, played softball, basketball, etc, but she was a true cheerleader to so many -- inspiring, strong and beautiful.
Lisa is survived by her husband Kirk, and daughters, Mackenzie, Kayla and Ellie, her parents, Mike and Judy, her in-laws, Mike and Carol, her sister, Katie, brothers-in-law Steven and Scott, sisters-in-law Kelly and Christina and grandma-in-law, Mary (Bunny). Nieces and nephews include Nick, Luke and Jake, Cole, Max and Paige, and Kevin, Connor and Callie, as well as many friends who refer to her as "Auntie Lisa."
Through her life, Lisa was surrounded by aunts and uncles, cousins, and a group of unbelievable friends who stood by her side through it all, and will continue to do so for her family in the years to come. Lisa called these special people her "village" and she was their warrior. Lisa was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Dorothy, Lenore and Jack, and her brother-in-law, also gone too soon, Chris Bogenski.
May the memories of Lisa forever be cherished. May you hear a country song, JT, or NKOTB and sing the words loudly like she would have. May you fill your homes with gnome decorations and make sure your floors are always clean. May you visit the beach, toes in the sand, drink in hand. And may you witness her beautiful soul through her daughters' years to come.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, Illinois, 60047 from 3:00-7:30 pm, with informal tributes beginning at 7:30 p.m. A public Church Service will take place on Wednesday, April 20th at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Road, Cary, Illinois, 60013.
