Born Jan. 14, 1939 to James and Effie Curtis, he passed away Thurs. June 23, 2011 in McHenry.

He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Samyann (nee Casey) loving father of Cynthia Ann Curtis, dear brother of Wilbur Curtis, Harriet Robbins and brother-in-law of Winifred and Annabelle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ruth Campbell and Iris Peppers and brothers James Jr. and Donald Curtis.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Air Force as a medic at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was an avid writer who was in the process of authoring a book at the time he passed, he also enjoyed singing for family at weddings. During his career Lloyd was a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School and Wisconsin State University.

Memorial visitation will be held Sunday June 26, 2011 from 2p.m. until the time of the service at 3p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at a later date.
