Lois M. Cerrone Favia

Lois Marie Cerrone Favia, 83 of River Grove and Lake Zurich, was born on June 21, 1935 to the late James and Margaret Cerrone and passed away on November 3, 2018. Lois was the mother of Rocco (Jasmine), James (Rose) and the late Michael Favia; grandmother of Dominic, Elise and Natalie Favia; sister of Carmen Cerrone, Lorene Surges and Margo Davis.

When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. When her sons were young, Lois was very involved in the Boy Scouts and the Parent Teacher Association at Rhodes School. She was a caring and thoughtful neighbor, and friend to many. Her family, friends and neighbors always appreciated her generosity and encouraging spirit. She was very proud of her sons and grandchildren. She spoke very highly of all of them and their accomplishments. She absolutely loved the house she resided in for most of her life and cherished her home town of River Grove. To her there was no other place she would rather spend her life. She also had a love affair with Gene and Jude’s hot dog stand. If you were visiting and passing the place…you better bring her one! Lois had a good work ethic and worked diligently at her clerical position for many years before enjoying her retirement. She liked her job and enjoyed socializing with her co-workers. So as you remember Lois, may happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time and may our loving God give her peace, mercy and eternal life! A Memorial Visitation for Lois will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 2:00pm until the time of her Memorial Service at 3:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL.
