Lois Kathryn Plain Lee

Lois Kathryn Plain Lee, 93, of Barrington Hills, was born May 31, 1924 in Columbus, OH to Francis and Beulah Plain. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at JourneyCare in Barrington.

Lois was a proud member of the D.A.R. as well as Questers International and Village Planters Garden Club. She was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Barrington Hills. Lois was also a longtime supporter of the Raleigh Tavern Society of Colonial Williamsburg. Lois accompanied her husband, both in business and pleasure, on many trips worldwide in support of professional organizations, including The Licensing Executives Society and the American Bar Association.

Lois is survived by her husband of 75 years, Wm. Marshall Lee, whom she married October 10, 1942; her children, Marsha (Steve) Derynck of Pittsboro, NC, William (the late Catherine) Lee of Ingleside, IL, and Victoria Lee Nelson of Bloomington, IN; her five grandchildren, Jennifer Hoffman, Bradley (Audrey) Johnson, Carolyn (Jim) Smith, Marshall (Allyson) Lee, and Cassandra (Kyle) Craig; and seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Frances Webster; and her parents.

Services are being held privately. A memorial/celebration of life will be held at a later date.
