Lois Arlene (Beedy) Patterson

Lois A. Patterson, 90, of Crystal Lake and formerly of Park Ridge, died April 1, 2022, at home following a brief illness.   She was born on September 21, 1931, to Adna and Florence (Gehrke) Beedy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Janice.  Lois is survived by her daughters, Cynthia and Denise (Val Talbot) Patterson; close cousin, Carol (Gino) Angello; and many other cousins.  Lois will also be greatly missed by her beloved cats, Callie and Tammie.

Lois graduated from Maine Township High School in 1949 and started her administrative assistant career at Woolworth’s in Park Ridge followed by over 35 years at Maine Township High School East, mostly in the main office.  She retired in 2001.  She enjoyed needlecraft and traveling, especially small boat cruises in the U.S. and Canada.

Services for Lois will be held privately.  Memorials in Lois’s name may be made to Animal House Shelter in Huntley, the Chicago Zoological Society in Brookfield, or any other charity of your choice.
