Lola Coles

Lola Miranda Coles, known professionally as Lola Miranda Hale,67, passed away on August 5, 2011.  Lola was an accomplished corporate finance and securities law attorney and was an active lecturer and author on a wide variety of securities law issues.  She first gained legal prominence as a partner at the law firm of McBride Baker & Coles, which eventually became part of the international law firm of Holland & Knight.  Thereafter, Lola joined Epstein Becker & Green, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance law matters for publicly and privately held companies.  Throughout her career she was an active member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois.  Lola was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence A. Coles Jr; her beloved sister Elena Miranda Johnson, her father Rafael Miranda, and her beautiful mother, Emma Miranda.  She is survived by many loving family and friends.

Visitation will be 10a.m until the time of the memorial Mass at 11a.m. Saturday Aug. 27 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St, Algonquin IL 60102.
