Loretta Eileen Oates

Loretta Eileen Oates, 92, of McHenry, formerly of Arlington Heights and Loveland, CO, was born April 29, 1925 in Maywood to Joseph and Ellen (nee O'Leary) Dwyer.  She passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Woodstock.  Loretta was a devote Catholic, enjoyed painting porcelain china, American Indian culture and her Irish Heritage.  She took great pride in raising her eight children and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, John, Tom (Deedee), Alan (Dorothy), Tim (Marci), Dennis (Sue), Bob (Joy), Eileen (Dan) Green, and Susan (Larry) Jensen; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her brother William (the late Pat) Dwyer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; 11 siblings; and her parents.

The family will receive guests from 4-9 pm, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.  A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 W. Park St., Arlington Heights.  Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
