Loretta Staehler
June 24, 1920 — February 3, 2017
Loretta B. Staehler, 96, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Woodstock. She was born June 24, 1920 in Chicago to Anton and Eleanor Pienkowski.
Loretta was happy being a school cafeteria chef and manager at Teft Jr. High School in Streamwood. She enjoyed interacting with the kids at school each day, but enjoyed her retirement years, as well. Loretta also loved to crochet and be with her family.
She is survived by her children, Candace Staehler and Corky (Debbie) Staehler; her grandchildren, Ryan, Jeffrey, and Natalie; four great grandchildren; and her sister, Virginia (Henry) Gronski.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Staehler, Sr.; and her parents.
A memorial visitation will be from 11 am until the time of a service at 2 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL. Inurnment services will be held at a later date in Princeton, IL.
