The funeral service for Lorraine """"Lori"""" Gustafson (nee Garramone)"",77, residing in Barrington, IL, formerly of South Bend, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 14, at Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne Street, South Bend. Rev. Jana Chwalisz will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday"", at the Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN.

Born March 18"", 1935 in Denver, Colorado, she passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Pepper Family Hospice Home, Barrington.

Lori was raised in Denver and married her husband"", the late Robert Gustafson there on August 25, 1956. They moved to the South Bend area, where they raised their family. Lori was an active member of the PTA, loved to crochet, cook, play cards/games, and read. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lori was notorious for her ability to make new friends in a quick chat, then keep them forever.

She is survived by her children"", Robert (Jean) Gustafson, Jr., of South Bend, Ronald (Nancy) Gustafson of Elkhart, Lisa Moore of Sarasota, FL, and Lynn (Michael) Minton of Barrington, grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Moore, Magdalena, Claire, and Jillian Minton, Emily and Eric Cranmer; brothers, Robert & George Garramone; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Gustafson, Sr.
