Louis P. Mika

Louis P. Mika, husband of the late Joyce M. Mika passed away February 22, 2022 after a short battle with Prostate Cancer. Lou is Survived by his loving children Stephen (Sandra), Mark (Lizzette) and Marilou (Louie Lasch); cherished “Papa Lou” to Brooke Elizabeth and “AJ” Autumn Joyce Yvette, Vanessa (John), Trina, Anthony and Charlie; “Great Papa Lou” to Mariah, Gigi, Angelina, Katalina and Carter. Big brother to Arlene Mika and the late Robert Mika. Cherished Uncle to many nieces & nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; loving cousin, nephew and friend. Lou passed his love for sports, particularly the Chicago White Sox to his children who are honored to know their father was invited to try out for the team, not once but TWICE, 1956 & 1957. There is nothing about Chicago history the man did not know. “Go for that long drive with Joycee now Dad, we got it from here. kochamy Cię, tato!”

Visitation will be 9am until prayers at 10am, Friday February 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) Crystal Lake, followed by procession to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.  Burial will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery at 1pm.
