LoVina Gow – Inverness
Born October 22, 1922 in Lakota, North Dakota to Cecil and Jesse (nee Langton) Beatty, LoVina passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home.
LoVina grew up on the family dairy farm. She was a graduate of the University Of North Dakota. LoVina taught school in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho before she moved to Los Angeles to work for the Catalina Bathing Suit Company. She met her husband while living in LA and they were married in Kansas City.
LoVina is survived by her sons, Doug (Glenna), John III, Rob (Chris); grandsons, John IV (Katherine), Ian (Jessica), Collin (Nikki); great-grandsons, John V, Jackson, Sawyer, and August; and her brother, James Harlen Beatty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Gow, Jr.; brothers, Claude “Buddy”, Robert, and Bill; and sister, LoVerne.
The visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service held at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Rd, Barrington. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
