Lucille (Paparella) Landino, age 73, formerly of Orange, CT and Bonita Springs, FL, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2017 in Barrington, IL with her loving family by her side. Born in New Haven, CT on August 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angeline (DiMarco) Paparella. Lucille was predeceased by her devoted husband of 50 years, Michael Robert Landino.
Survivors include her loving children Karen (Craig) Seeger and Michael J. (Suzanne) Landino and grandchildren Karsen Seeger, Cole Seeger and Alexander Landino. Lucille also leaves behind cousins Susan (DiMarco) Kenyon and Joseph DiMarco, brothers-in-law Paul Landino, Richard Landino, Thomas Landino, and sister-in-law Lucille Selvidio.
Lucille was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in New Haven, CT. She went on to graduate from the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Radiology and worked for several years at Hospital of St. Raphael Radiation Therapy Center. Lucille was a member of Holy Infant Women’s Guild as well as an active member/secretary of the Notre Dame of West Haven Mothers Club. She received her license with the New Haven Board of Realtors in 1980 and was a realtor for 20 years (with H. Pearce Realty, William Orange and Coldwell Banker). Lucille retired in 2005 when she and Mike made their new home in Bonita Springs, FL, where they enjoyed many good times as members of Shadow Wood Country Club.
A devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend, she will be best remembered for her tenacity throughout her life and her unfailing love for her grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of The Garlands in Barrington, IL and Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care during her final months.
Friends are invited to greet the family at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Ave. West Haven, CT on Thursday, March 30th from 4-7 PM. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday, March 31st at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Infant Church, 456 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Orange Cemetery, Orange Center Rd, Orange, CT.
