Lucinda "Cindy" (Shay) Bishop

Lucinda (Cindy) Shay Nalker Bishop, age 76, of Crystal Lake, IL passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 7, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

Cindy was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on June 15, 1944 to William and Etta Shay. She and William Bishop were married on April 28, 1990. Cindy attended Oakton Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree. Before her retirement, she had her own consulting firm where she helped commercial businesses.

Some of Cindy’s hobbies included planting flowers in the spring, working on arts and crafts with buttons, playing cards and spending time with her family every chance she got.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Tom) Bowles; grandsons, Mike (Casandra) Bowles, Patrick Bowles, and Dan (Madeline) Bowles.

Preceded in death by her late husband, William Bishop, her daughter, Kathy (Bill) Uhlir, her previous husband, Kenneth Nalker, and her 7 siblings.

A visitation for Cindy will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 3pm until the time of service at 7:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
