Lykourgos "Lee" Archos, 82, of Harvard, passed away unexpectedly at home with his wife and daughter by his side on July 4, 2021. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Valtetsi, Greece to the late Demos and Angeliki (nee Mellos) Archos.
Lee was the loving husband of 53 years to Eugenia; devoted father to Angelique (Joseph) Doyle and the late Demos “Jimmy” Archos; cherished Papou of his namesake Lee “Lykourgos” Doyle, age 8 and Michael Doyle, age 5; dear brother of Maria (the late Panos) Bourlokas, John (Helen) Archos and the late Dean (the late Paula) Archos, the late Evans (Demetra) Archos, the late Georgia (the late Andreas) Giannakopolous; loving uncle, cousin and friend of many; brother in law of Greg (Georgine) Pipikios and Mike Pipikios; son-in-law of the late John and Stavroula Pipikios.
Visitation will be from 3:30 PM – 7 PM, with a prayer service at 4 PM on Friday, July 9 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 10 at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church of Elgin, 525 Church Rd. in Elgin at 12:30 PM until the 1 PM Mass. Interment will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake.
