Mae Louise Kinnamon (nee Zingsheim),94, of Lake Barrington, passed away Thursday, February 7,2013, at her home. She was born May 11, 1918 in Chicago, graduated from Lakeview H.S. in Chicago, moved to the Barrington area in 1946, and with her husband founded Kinnamon Accounting Service. She was a former Cub Scout leader and active in the Barrington elementary school system, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Barrington, and enjoyed cooking, sports, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Paul Kinnamon in 2007, whom she married on June 12, 1937; her parents, Mathew L. and Ida E. (nee Strey) Zingsheim; brother, Mathew P. Zingsheim, and daughter-in-law, Sue Ann C. (nee Miller) Kinnamon.
Survivors include sons, Leigh (Janet) and Terry (Christie); grandchildren, Troy (Lara), Tanya and Bret (Cindy) Kinnamon, and Dawn (Scott) Fulton; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Haley, Cole, and Kate Kinnamon, Kaylee and Kendall Fulton.
Visitation will be Saturday February 9, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington. The Rev. Johnny Greve will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
