Marcella "Marcy" (Pachucki) Kranz

July 4, 1923 — April 29, 2018

Marcella “Marcy” Kranz, 94, of Crystal Lake passed away April 29, 2018.  She was born in Chicago on July 4, 1923 to Stanley and Charlotte (nee Zdydrowski) Pachucki.

In June 1947, she married Harry Kranz.  They were married 69 years before his passing in January of 2017.   They lived in Park Ridge from 1955 until they retired to Crystal Lake in 1990.  Marcy was a secretary to a dean at Oakton Community College until 1987.  Marcy and Harry were very active in their Catholic parishes and their communities throughout their lives.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Carol) Kranz, Judy (John) Mehan, and Cynthia (Justin) Barr; grandchildren, Jessica and Jeffrey Mehan, Allison (Abadir Ibrahim) Kranz, Ashley and Elise Kranz, Christopher, Andrea and Kimberly Barr; great grandchildren, Samantha (Kyle) Davis, James and Chandler ; and great great grandchild, Kaden.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 3 pm until 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.  Mass will be Monday, May 7, at 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 am.   Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
