Cary, Illinois,Marcet Claire Shields, 82, of Cary, IL, at rest October 13, 2010. Born April 29, 1928 in Miami, FL. She taught in the Indianapolis and St. Louis, MO area public schools and at The Principia Upper School in St. Louis. Survivors include her son, David (Margret) Shields, and 2 granddaughters, Megan and Karlie Shields. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Peter Shields, and a son, John Shields. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of Christ Scientist, 421 E. Main Street, Barrington, or to The Principia, 13201 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63131. Arrangements are pending.
