Marcia O'Keeffe

Marcia Ann O’Keeffe, 89, of Wilmette, died Sunday, December 07, 2014, in Crystal Lake surrounded by family.

She was born on November 2, 1925, to Albert and Mildred Sirois in Portland Maine.

Marcia enjoyed working for over 20 years as a librarian in the children’s room at the Wilmette Public Library. She shared her open, joyous and loving spirit with everyone she ever met and will be missed by many.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jerome J. O’Keeffe; children, Kevin (Joy) O’Keeffe, Sean O’Keeffe, Katharine O’Neill, Tere (the late Richard) Jones, Mavonne Garrity, Jerome (Beth) O’Keeffe, Philip (Lauren) O’Keeffe, Mary Pat (Greg) Lucas, and Colin (Tammy) O’Keeffe; grandchildren, Micaela, Jacqueline, Corey, and Nora O’Keeffe, Julia and Marcia Stoecker; Kara (Jon) Price, Lara (Andrea) Weyl, William, Philip, and Joseph Garrity, Erin O’Keeffe, Laura (Kevin) McVearry, Amy (David) Lukasavage, Stephanie (Dan) Osborn, Anthony Jerome, Michael, and Trisha Lucas, and Lauren and Samantha O’Keeffe; great grandchildren, Avery Stoecker, Charles and Harrison Price, Donald McVearry, and Emma, Nathan, and Brooke Osborn; brother, Richard Sirois; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3-8p.m., Friday, December 12, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Memorial Mass will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, December 13, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
